first day of school. . .

well. . . things are back in full swing around here. school is BACK!! i can honestly say this is the first year in quite a while that i wasn't quite ready for them to go back to school. summer seemed too short. there just didn't seem like enough time to pack it all in.
gabe has another male teacher this year. mr. gunter is a lover of science just like gabriel. he's been relaying the results of several experiments they have done already this school year. he's also is in a class with some fun friends that he missed greatly last year. i know he's going to have a SUPER year!!christian started kindergarten this year. we could not have made a better decision than to have held him back last year. he's so ready for school, and all the fun that comes with it. he has two teachers, mrs. sever and mrs. cisson. on our first day dropping him off, there was another kid throwing quite the violent fit in the hallway. christian's response, "i cannot listen to one more second of that"! that kid makes me laugh. i sure am going to miss him this year.sweet boys. . .mom and dad continue to pray that you will influence your teachers and friends with godly words and actions this year. we are so proud of the young men you are growing up to be. we love you. have a GREAT year!!

Swing and a hit

Yesterday Gabriel and Christian were out playing "tennis" in the culdesac when a neighborhood boy accidentally hit Christian in the face.

I was in working on the computer when Melissa asked me to go check on Christian because he was crying. When I met him in the front yard there was blood running down his face. Melissa and I knew right away he would need stitches so we loaded up the car and spent the evening at the urgent care. Christian was so brave when we told him he had to hold still....with tears running down his face he was as still as a 6 year old could be.

We're thankful for God's protection in even the little things!
