Church Camp

Today we dropped our not so little Gabriel off at church camp (Lookup Lodge) for the first time. Gabe was so excited and didn't seem nervous or anxious about his first trip alone from Mom and Dad.

We're going to miss him but we are excited that he had the opportunity to spend some time with his friends and learning more about the wonderful God we serve.

At dinner tonight Christian prayed for Gabe to be safe and for him to have a good time - as parents we echo that prayer and also pray that God will continue to pursue Gabe's heart.

We're praying for you Gabe and excited to hear about your first adventure at camp.



UPDATE: Gabriel had a blast and actually told us later in the evening he wished he was still at camp. (sniff, sniff)

an answered prayer. . .

a few weeks ago, one of christian's buddies from church was diagnosed with leukemia. we have been praying for sweet camden. his diagnosis has led to many discussions about illness, and life, and eternity.

a few weeks ago after church, i received a facebook message from a friend letting us know how thankful they were for christian. their little boy, blake, is best buddies with camden, and was extremely unsettled and upset about being in sunday school without him. blake's mom prayed with him before sunday school that God would provide just the right friend to cheer him up.

how exciting it was to share with christian that he had been the answer to that little prayer.

christian, we are proud of you for being such a sweet friend. it is exciting to see how God is using you to fulfill His purpose in the lives of other people. we love you!!
